My name is Amy, and I’m the founder of Dollars and Diplomas. As a current Master’s student in Social Work, I’ve faced the financial challenges that come with being a university student, and I’m here to help guide you through the same journey. From navigating student loans to finding ways to save, I’ve learned a lot along the way—and I want to share those lessons with you.
Dollars and Diplomas officially launched in September 2024, but the idea has been years in the making. My mom has been telling me for a long time that I needed to write something about how I managed to navigate my undergraduate years not just debt-free but actually making money from the university! After years of encouragement, I started building this blog in February 2024 to share everything I’ve learned.
This blog is all about helping you master your finances as a college student. From scholarships, grants, and financial aid to tips on making and saving money, budgeting, and more, I cover all the tools you need to succeed financially during your college years. My goal is to give you practical advice that makes managing your money less stressful and more empowering.
